Getting here
Accessible parking is available in front of Upper Hutt Central Library (Fergusson Drive) and in the rear carpark next to H20 Xtreme (Brown Street).
The closest bus stop is located on Wilson Street and the Upper Hutt Train Station is just a 5 minute walk away. Use the Metlink website to plan your journey.
Taxis can pick up and drop off in front of the Civic Centre on Fergusson Drive. This zone places you directly in front of the main entrance to Whirinaki.

When booking your tickets for a show or event at Whirinaki Whare Taonga please advise of any special requirements you may have. Wheelchair seating for our theatre can be purchased over the phone by calling 04 527 2168 or in-person at reception.
Certified Disability Assist Dogs are welcome throughout Whirinaki. Please ensure the dog wears the appropriate coat and carries a valid ID card.
We offer a wheelchair for public use in the art galleries and theatre, please advise a staff member should you require it for use.
